You mean I can really win a $20,000 cash grant? Yes, you can…

if your school becomes a “Best in Nation” winner. Here are the steps to get there:

  • “Best in State”: One middle school and one high school in each state will win “Best in State” honors, eligible to be considered for “Best in Region.”
  • “Best in Region”: 24 schools – 12 middle and 12 high schools will be chosen, awarded a $5,000 cash grant for their school, and eligible to become “Best in Nation” winners.
  • “Best in Nation”: 8 schools will be selected – 4 middle schools and 4 high schools, receiving an additional $15,000 cash grant for the school. Each team member and the faculty advisor get a Samsung Galaxy tablet and your team will get support in building the winning app from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for Mobile Learning. Team representatives will also be invited to present their winning app at the 2015 national TSA conference in Dallas, Texas, in June.
