BENEATH THE SEA

2014 MARINE CAREERS SCHOLARSHIPS

Sea of Tomorrow Scholarship Society Offers Financial Assistance

Are you between the ages of 12 and 30 years of age? Are you trying to decide what your career aspirations are? Have you considered a marine related career – such as, ocean engineer, marine scientist, underwater photographer, whale or shark specialist, marine technologist, hyperbaric medicine specialist, underwater archaeologist, etc.? Then, one of our scholarships/grants can help you explore the wonderful world of marine careers. If you are a teacher, parent, or a friend of a young person, then share this information with them. Help them explore their opportunities for the future.

Beneath The Sea®, Inc. a not-for-profit, volunteer organization, in existence for 38 years, is recognized nationally as a source of education about the ocean environment. In addition to its Marine Careers annual one day program for high school and college students offered every March, Beneath The Sea®, and several of its supporters, including the Women Divers Hall of Fame, Life Support Technologies, and the Youth Diving With A Purpose Program offer a variety of scholarship opportunities for young people interested in exploring and protecting the ocean environment.

Scholarships to be awarded in 2014 provide financial support to encourage you to:

Become a scuba diver
Obtain training in underwater photography
Participate in marine environmental conservation, biology or ecology research programs
Follow a career path using electronics to illuminate and expand our underwater knowledge.
Participate in a Hyperbaric Medicine Program
Participate in an Underwater Archaeology Program.
