Second Call for PapersDeadline : October 1, 2013


The East-West Center invites graduate students from around the world to submit papers for the 13th Annual International Graduate Student Conference (EWC-IGSC) on the Asia Pacific region, taking place in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, from February 13-15, 2014. The Conference will provide an opportunity to share interdisciplinary perspectives formally, through presenting research papers and attending other panel presentations, and informally in the warm and encouraging environment of the East-West Center in Hawaii. Last year’s conference had broad representation of 82 graduate students from 24 different countries and territories, and 42 universities throughout the world.


During our First Call for Papers we received nearly 200 paper abstracts from graduate students representing 68 different universities from throughout the world.  Some of the universities represented include Australian National University (Australia), Bejing Jiaotong University (China), Jawaharlal Nehru University (India), Mindanao State University (Philippines), Oxford University (England), University of Vienna (Austria), University of Ibadan (Nigeria) and many from the U.S. (UH Manoa, Pepperdine, Texas A&M, Yale, etc.).  We are still accepting Papers until the deadline – October 1, 2013
