The Language Documentation Training Center (LDTC) is run by graduate  students in the Linguistics department, and is a series of eight weekly  workshops. Each speaker is paired with a graduate student volunteer and  trained so that they can document their own language. By the end of the  semester, the speaker will have been taught the basics of linguistics,  language endangerment, and language documentation, and will have created a website with basic information on their language.
More information can be found at, or by emailing
LDTC will be running recruitment from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Monday, September 8th and Tuesday, September 9th. We will be seeking speakers of endangered or minority languages. During  this time, we will be available for answering questions, and, again, any questions or concerns can be sent to
We hope to see you there!
