The         DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY & BIOCHEMISTRY at the UNIVERSITY          OF THE SCIENCES         invites applications for the position of tenure-track        assistant or associate professor to begin in FALL 2014.        Candidates doing research that complements our faculty interests        in biochemistry or its interface with other chemical fields and        teaching abilities in BIOLOGICAL CHEMISTRY and molecular        biology are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate is        expected to direct a nationally recognized research program that        will attract extramural funding. Excellence in teaching at both        the undergraduate and graduate levels is also expected.

Candidates should have a        Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience. USciences, originally founded in 1821,        is a unique health sciences university of ~3000 students, with        programs in the natural sciences, pharmacy, and other health        related areas.
